Faster payments: What’s in it for banks and their customers
The Federal Reserve has laid out a plan for faster payments in the U.S. by the year 2020. To reach this milestone, stakeholders across the entire payments ecosystem will have to come together and develop the technologies and processes to support a streamlined, super-charged payments system.

Susan Doyle is a Senior Vice President of Electronic Payments for Commerce Bank who partners with senior bank management to ensure the innovative payment trends continue to evolve with the business. Susan strives for a better customer experience in the evolving payments industry. After working in the payments industry for almost 30 years, Susan knows what is driving the future of payments. She has the industry knowledge from the banking perspective that will help lead Commerce to be more agile as payments transform to be faster. In her role, she oversees the strategy and product direction for Treasury Services electronic payment products.
George Simotas | Managing Principal | CAPCO
George Simotas is a Managing Principal based out of the Capco Chicago office and co-leads Capco’s Cards and Payments practice. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and in consulting. He specializes in program execution for complex engagements that span business and technology strategy and operations. Areas of his expertise include payments, credit card issuing and acquiring, mortgage origination and servicing, bank operations, operational risk management and compliance. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from St. Mary’s College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University in San Francisco.

Eric Byunn founded Centana Growth in 2015 and is one of its Partners. Before founding Centana Growth, Eric spent over 20 years in growth equity and technology. Eric currently serves on the Boards of Blueprint Systems, Jumio, Vena, One, Inc., and Catalyst Repository Systems. Prior to FTV, Eric served as Director of Online Services at myCFO, a startup wealth management firm. He held several positions at Netscape/AOL, including management of Netscape’s Personal Finance Channel and product management for the Netscape Navigator browser. He also has worked at Microsoft and McKinsey & Company.
